S24 Ultra gone haywire after UI 7 Upgrade

Hi ,

I updated my S24 Ultra with UI 7 Upgrade. Immediately the phone app started misbehaving.

When i receive a call the display  starts alternating between phone screen and lock screen and the touch is lost. 

With volume keys somehow i can pickup the phone.

The phone heats up a lot more than earlier.

Further update was available as a bug fix. I installed that but still the problem persists.

Is Samsung listening. We have paid a huge amount just a few months back for the expensive S24 Ultra

I'd recommend updating all the apps. From the Galaxy Store as well as the Google Playstore

After this I'd recommend Wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone.

Check in battery settings if a particular app is an issue as well

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable

To PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.

Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.

You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.

The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the Screen.

At this point, release the keys

Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose “Wipe Cache Partition” .

Use the power button to accept that.

You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.

Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

Hi Glenntech,

I followed your instructions to wipe the cache partition but the problem still persists.

Was the screen replaced at any point

Screen protector on? 

You can try and see if it happens in safe mode to exclude any 3rd party software; check diagnostics via Samsung members app or contact Samsung support via Members app and let them deal with it
