Two IMEI's on 1 device that are providing two sets of different location information based on when either connected to home Internet provider or the SIM card which is inserted.

Both IMEI's are registered 1 day apart yet and the phone was programmed with the two IMEI from the retailer.

Is this of a concern as i find it very unsual especially considering it gives me locations that i would or should not be present at for example.

Also both linked to same email account via Google.

A further bit of information to help understand if this is normal or unsual to see - as if like 2 devices but from 1 phone. Mine is always named MH - 24 and icon shows cream coloured not the black from registered date.1724894875709.jpg1724896189543.jpg1724896189566.jpg

Also the model number seems different and the picture shows a black S24 then goes to a cream S24 on the other images.

I received the phone early April 2024 with the black image as a representation.1724895360193.jpg

Can anyone look at all that and advise if thats normal to have 1 device chopping from 1 IMEI to another? As I think its odd considering only 1 simcard is inserted into IMEI ending - 33

I would suggest to also pose your question via the Samsung Members App too under the Ask a Question section @Marcusiii

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Thank you - would you agree it seems odd all from 1 phone with 1 simcard inserted?

I am confused, did register both imei ? Also imei is not used when connecting to home Internet, that a completely different system

Two imei is normal for a dual sim phone, if you put two sim in then both imei are registered one for each carrier you are using.

Location can be inferred from the WiFi and/or data connection and/or BT as well as GPS. If there is no GPS data e.g inside a building. It should be OK to have two different location. Your WiFi location will be based on your Internet provider, and data location will be based on your network provider.

Similar experience is when testing Internet speed, depending on how you are connected the closest server can be quite a few miles apart.
