The deeper I dig for information about system and service Samsung applications, the more I am convinced that Samsung faked both One UI 7 and One UI 8 for older flagships mentioned in the title and that many of the serious problems that you have reported or are still reporting are not invented but stem from the fact that neither Samsung nor Qualcomm updated the applications related to the processor and that any recent or future update may cause some unusual error, not for all, but that would affect someone etc

For example CACertApp...that's app is not specific only for Samsung,  it can be found in phones with Qualcomm processors. (Honor, One Plus, Xiaomy). And version in my S24 ultra, with One UI 8, with latest Samsung November security shows as Android 14 version.... That's mean Qualcomm NOR Samsung DIDN'T updated our hardware and thats why we can expect overheating ANY TIME with ANY updates,  and we can't predict that, nor Samsung. My trigger update was Samsung November security update.

My version of Galaxy Store stuck on version in 2022??? S24 ultra was released in 2024.

In Google Play Store version of SECURE FOLDER is with date 2018 year?  Not compatible Gallery version too. Did you see all complaints in Google Play Store? AND GOOGLE OR SAMSUNG NEVER ANSWERED OR NEVER FIXED THAT ISUEES FOR YEARS!!!

Your overheating is real. Samsung faked One UI 7 and One UI 8 for S24, S23, S22 series.

I get your point, but that does not mean that Samsung faked software. Unfortunately newer software versions cab overwhelm older models and for software and hardware related reasons some apps cannot be optimised for older models that receive newer versions of software. Samsung is opened about the fact that when receiving new software there might be errors incoming with the software. I do not understand why some phones are ok with software changes and receive updates well while others get bricked or malfunction in some way, I believe there are many factors that influence how a phone meets a software update. Phone companies, not just Samsung gives real features from updates on phones as long as they are compatible, they don't give a demo version or something like that. At least with Samsung you get updates every so often while with other companies you get them a couple of days a year if you are lucky. Apple phones also receive errors with software updates, the grass is not greener on the other side. You chose a phone company's phone if you like the features it gives and how the phone satisfies you as a customer according to your needs. Unfortunately older phones don't have such performant hardware as the newer ones, although that hardware was the best of the time when they were released, although over all those phones feel very actual and satisfy modern needs just fine and comparable with newer models. It's up to the customer of they feel they need the latest model or they want to keep their I don't know how many years old phone because they still like how it works and does what they need it to do for them.

Android works on the idea of hardware freezing. Basically, hardware related things don't change or update to keep things working.

It's a little hard to explain but I have an example. Android 16 has a setting called "network notifications". This setting only works and appears if a phone supports version 3 of software for the radio. The s25 released with version 1. The s25 can physically be updated, but due to the freeeze, it's not allowed to. So it will always stay on version 1 no matter which update it gets.

The idea behind this is hardware components often don't get as much support as software. Samsung might really care about their phone, but if qualcom stopped caring about their chips, they stop updates and leave samsung with issues. Freezing hardware updates is what allows modern phones to have 7 years of updates. It removes the issue of "random hardware maker has stopped making updates, guess we have to as well".

As for secure folder on the play store, that's not the secure folder. Secure folder is a deep system thing in samsung. The app on the playstore is literally just the visuals or button to launch it.

Android is also very backwards compatible. An app might say it's an android 14 version because samsung releases the same app for all their devices. This means devices running android 14-16 can all use it. If samsung made an app for android 16, none of their android 15 devices could use it

Yes, it faked. Actually,  I think Samsung does exactly same what many enthusiasts does for years. They PORTed update, they actuality didn't update on phones, and that can explain slowly opening some apps, e.g. Modes and routines. So, yes, Samsung faked One UI 7 and One UI 8. Because of no compatibility older Snapdragon chips with One UI 7

And that is exactly what I read about Qualcomm,  they stopped updating older Snapdragon chips. But Samsung already promised 7 year upgrade for S24 series before that

Sorry, why Google will 'freeze ' some update on 2018. on device from 2024 year? Or gallery with 2021 year?

Secure Folder is Samsung app, can you see date?

And no, I can't launch it or open it in Google Play store

That play store app is probably there for compatibility reasons for older devices. It gets updates via the samsung store normally.

It's hard to sorta explain things when you're sorta looking into things wrong. It's perfectly normal for things to be how you describe them. There's reasons for every thing. I just don't have the time to explain everything

Qualcom don't need to update anything for samsung to provide software updates. They have basically no involvement past the first software version

I believe updating the chipset, GPU and all that sort of software would involve some kind of manual intervention on the phone? Updating a newer version of software on an older hardware would mean that there is no guarantee that the hardware will work well or even function properly? That's why some software gets frozen because using it on older phones would mean it would not work? I guess that's something to do with how the hardware was designed and what the newer version of app requires from the phone to work in good parameters. I have watched a number of videos on this subject, I just don't know the right words to explain it. I think it's normal that chipset manufacturers stop caring for older chipsets because creating chipsets is very expensive. Unfortunately for this reason I realised how my HP Envy 360 laptop which is very performant and bought just 3 years ago, values just £50 nowadays because it's chipset lost support from the manufacturer. Its not fair on the customer because this is also the value for trade in and also for the second hand market if you want to sell it.

I've read about the hardware freezing somewhere or other. Yes it's very hard to explain but I know what you mean.
