I opted to remain with Samsung text messaging app because I dont care for the Google texting app. My provider is TMobile. I contacted them today because 2 days ago my text messages go out from my S24 looked like they sent but did not show as delivered. Noone was receiving my text messages. Working with Tmobile text support, basically the only option that worked was to switch to Google text messaging. I was able to send messages that were recieved by 2 people who happen to both have iphones and they responded they got the text. However I texted someone else who has an android and theu still did not get my text. I have 2 issues,
1 - why cant I continue to use Samsung text messaging with my S24 with Tmobile as my provider?
2 - I dont like Google messages so I shouldn't have to use it and its still not totally resolved my text communication issues.
Also, yes, I turned my phone off and on several times, there are no updates due, I cleared the cache, I deleted as much off my phone as possible ie., photos, old messages, unused apps. I went thru several additional steps with TMobile that didnt help either. I am with xfinity internet high speed service and both my accounts are always paid current for internet service and for my phone service.
Lastly, help?!! Why did I suddenly begin having this issue? I've had my S24 about a year now. Also, from what I've read, others with S22, S23, S24, & S25s are having issues too. How can I get my phone back to everyone receiving me text messages, regardless of providers, phone type, or which text messaging app I use?! This phone cost too much for this issue!
