sms on s24 ultra doesn't arrive

sms doesn't arrive if I'm not connected to the internet. Have selected the sms app as the default (chat bubble with 3 dots)

Hey there

Sounds like you are using RCS instead of SMS text.

RCS is similar in concept to WhatsApp and requires an internet connection to work.

I have gone into the message app ( Google app ) and have gone into settings and also turned off RCS. The app that is Default on phone settings added Sms app as default and icon is chat bubble with 3 dots

Ok so if you've turned RCS chats off (I got rid of it as I felt it was unreliable but others in here like it) then anyone replying to a message you've sent by RCS won't come through until you turn RCS back on.

My solution to this was to text those people again so that future messages come via SMS or MMS .
