Screen shot question

I made a screen shot to post here to show another member something but saw that the Navigation bar was left out of the picture.

I'm using icons for the Navigation bar from GoodLock / NavStar, by the way.

I naturally assumed a screen shot was a screen shot.  Am I not understanding something?

hi there, you could possibly have "hide status and navigation bars" enabled in settings.
This can be found in advanced settings> Screenshots and screen recording> hide status and navigation bar.

@davehorne: The Navigation bar should be visible in the screenshot, although it may be obscured by the Gallery options when it is viewed. If you head to the Gallery app > Select the screenshot > Tap the pencil symbol at the bottom of the screen, is the Navigation bar visible in the image when you enter editing mode?

Andrew, when I edit the screenshot in Gallery, the Navigation bar icons don't appear.

I thought perhaps this was a result of using the Microsoft Launcher, but even the default One UI interface behaves the same way.

Is this just me?

Thanks!  My word, it would be nice if things were a tad more consolidated.

Thank you.

How are you capturing your screenshots Dave?
The side button method should capture the whole screen inc buttons etc and UNKNOWNUSERNAME suggestion is something to check.
If you are using the S pen (screen write) method then you can expand the borders to incorporate the whole screen. I personally use the S pen method on all my screenshots as I usually need to write on them and I can also hide portions of the screen too if needed.

Robin, I use the side button and volume down to take a screen shot.
