Samsung has always positioned itself as the leader in Android updates, promising faster, longer-lasting software support than its competitors. Yet, as of late February 2025, One UI 7 is still in beta testing, while other brands have already completed their Android 15 rollouts.
Facts That Samsung Cannot Ignore:
1️⃣ Google released stable Android 15 for Pixel devices in October 2024.
2️⃣ OnePlus completed its Android 15 rollout last month, with even its oldest eligible device, the OnePlus 10 Pro, received the update.
3️⃣ Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO pushed stable Android 15 updates to their flagships by January 2025.
4️⃣ Samsung is the only major manufacturer still in the beta phase as of February 2025.
5️⃣ Even Google has started early testing for Android 16, yet Samsung has not even finalized One UI 7.
How can the largest Android manufacturer in the world be so far behind the competition?
Samsung is Prioritizing New Phones Over Existing Users
Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 7 in January 2025, yet:
- Galaxy S24 users are still waiting for a stable update.
- Older flagship devices (S23, S22, Z Fold/Flip 5) have no confirmed timeline.
- No official statement from Samsung explaining the delay.
Instead of delivering One UI 7 to existing users, Samsung has shifted focus to optimizing it for the S25 Ultra. Beta testers have confirmed that more bugs are being fixed for the S25 than for older models.
Samsung needs to communicate openly instead of keeping users in the dark.
One UI 7 Beta – Where Are the Features?
Beta 4 of One UI 7 still lacks core Android 15 features, making the update feel incomplete.
🔴 What’s missing?
- No Edge Panels – One UI’s signature multitasking tool has been removed without explanation.
- No Full-Sized Lock Screen Widgets – Available in stock Android 15, but Samsung has not included them.
- No Corner Swipe for Google Assistant – This was removed despite being a basic Android feature.
- Now Brief is missing – Samsung's AI widget is only available on specific models, leaving older devices behind.
🔴 What’s still broken?
- UI glitches in the Quick Panel persist across multiple beta versions.
- Fingerprint sensor responsiveness issues remain unsolved.
- Animations for app transitions are still inconsistent.
Samsung is taking longer than ever to finalize an update that is not even feature-complete.
Other Brands Are Outpacing Samsung
Let’s compare:
Brand Update Speed Feature Completeness Communication
Google Pixel | ✅ Android 15 stable since Oct 2024 | ✅ All features included | ✅ Clear roadmap |
OnePlus | ✅ Finished Android 15 rollout (Jan 2025, OnePlus 10 Pro last in Italy) | ✅ Stock Android 15 features available | ✅ Transparent updates |
Samsung | ❌ Still in beta (Feb 2025) | ❌ Features missing/removed | ❌ No official timeline |
Samsung cannot claim to be a leader in software updates while lagging months behind smaller brands.
Samsung Needs to Fix This NOW
Samsung must immediately address the following issues:
✅ Provide a clear and official One UI 7 release timeline.
✅ Deliver a feature-complete Android 15 update without unnecessary removals.
✅ Stop prioritizing new devices over existing flagship users.
✅ Improve communication and transparency regarding delays.
At this point, Samsung users deserve answers. If competitors can roll out Android 15 on time, why is Samsung, the biggest Android manufacturer, still struggling?

That may have use to be true but not anymore! This is why the software is selling the devices now and not the hardware. The other companies have caught up. Samsung is no longer the king! With their snail pace uodates it will get even worse people will leave over it. Thus is a lightning fast industry there is no room for snails! Samsung better get their ***** together or they will be left behind. All the hardware is about the same now as they all copy each other. Look at the S25 it looks exactly like a Iphone! Google said they want to make Andriod users have a more Iohone experience! Them Samsung said they want Galaxy users to have a more Pixel experience. Soon you won't be able to tell one from another without looking at the name! They did the same with cars! Sorry but Samsung is failing their customers!

Their promise for timely updates. This isn't timely. They promised the first quarter, we all can see that isn't going to happen. What you failed to realize is that you paid for these updates Samsung isn't giving them away free! Plus O have no problem waiting in line for updates but when I am in the line before the S24 and S25 but they get the update first. It's called first come first serve. The S22 should have gotten One UI 7 before anyone! Then the S23 then S24 and last the S25. Samsung put priority in profits instead of existing customers. That was a huge mistake watch! People are tired of spending over 1000 dollars and waiting on uodates for 6 and 8 months! They lied! This is not Flagship support! They turned their backs on me just as soon as they S24 released! Did the same to S24 when the S25 released. They used the S24 to beta test the OS for the S25 then held it hostage from the S24! Hiw could it need more testing when they beta tested on that device? They are liars! There was not one single reason why the S23 - S25 couldn't run this OS just fine the same day the S25 dropped! There is something going on they don't want us to know! NO TRANSPARENCY only proves this point!
