Annoying when you buy a new phone and it is not as good as your older phone.. S24 wifi issues is very disappointing. Apps will not work while connected via wifi anywhere.. got told to turn the 5hz wifi setting off.. am I to tell every home I go to and say that lol.. businesses.. you don't upgrade to downgrade grrrr

Hi Cheesyman,
I had the exact same issue as you. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and several apps are very slow when accessing online content. I tried everything, same things that you tried. Nothing worked. All other wifi devices in our home and my husbands iPhone didn't have these issues.
Long story short, it turns out that IPv6 was enabled in our router and after disabling that, my problems were gone!
Hope this will help you resolve your problem as well.
Kind regards,

Update: I also disabled ipv6 which didn't seem to help. Then we had a power outage and after everything restarted, the connections were back to normal. I have a nest WiFi Pro mesh.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm having the exact same issue.
All my apps either take a very long time to load or timeout and error when on WiFi. Turn off WiFi and change to 5G and everything loads instantly. My girlfriends iPhone has no issue with the WiFi, my windows laptop, Sony TV, MacBook, all fine, extremely fast WiFi. We can stream hi-def on all devices over WiFi, except for my shiny new 24 ultra.
I've gone through so many troubleshooting steps. Reset network settings on the 24 ultra, reset the router, change WiFi name and password. I've disabled Random MAC and IPv6. No joy.
I think I'm going to need to down grade back to my 22 ultra. Or finally cave into my girlfriends requests to join the dark side 🍎. We have a lot of friendly rivalry apple vs android, but this issue makes it very hard to defend Samsung. I can never connect to the TV or the Sonos speakers, I have to borrow her phone to do it. It's a bad look, and I've already tried quite hard to fix it.

I am having the same issues. The stupid phone works when you enable secure wifi though. All those apps magically work like they should through wifi.

Hi all,
so here's my semi-professional take on the issue: I experienced the same behavior since I got the 24 Ultra (most apps work on Wifi, some load just parts of their content, and some do not work at all like Spotify), however, I had the same problem with another older Android phone (the Motorola Z2 Force) and found a workaround with that device. I suspect the issue is related to DHCP (the protocol that your router uses to automatically assign IP addresses to your devices), since changing the IP settings of my Wifi network in the phone settings from DHCP to static and also altering the DNS servers (you can easily find the best and safest DNS servers for your region on the internet. Or just use the ones from Google which are 8.8.8.8 (DNS 1) and 8.8.4.4 (DNS 2)) made the Wifi issues disappear.
What I find weird though: I get why a 7 year old phone like the Moto Z2 Force which hasn't gotten any updates in ages would show this behavior after a few years (since Wifi technology is constantly progressing). But in a new model Samsung phone this should not happen. Or at least this bug should be fixed within days.
Ok, hope this helps.

Just got a base S24 Exynos and facing the same issue.
What I want to know is if this can even be fixed with an update or do I need to start the return process with the retailer, which in my country is usually not an easy task.
I will try a 2.4Ghz network and report back but I am in no way considering downgrading the house WiFi just because of a faulty device.
Samsung has really lost my respect, I feel like an ***** having paid that much for a phone just to have it fail to perform basic tasks.
