Two weeks ago, I encountered a problem that occurred after raindrops came into contact with the power port of my phone. Since then, the phone stopped charging quickly, which led to the need for repair actions. I tried many methods described in the Samsung guide on how to handle a device after contact with liquid, but none of them proved to be effective. The defect turned out to be so serious that I decided to contact Samsung Warranty.
On Friday, August 1st, I scheduled a visit from a Likewize technician, who undertook the repair of the device. After 30 minutes, he replaced the power port, but noted that the phone still does not behave normally. Another visit was therefore scheduled for August 9th.
Three days after the initial repair, the power port again stopped working, making it impossible for the device to charge quickly. The only ways to charge the phone are to use a very slow charger or wireless charging.
I wanted to share this experience because it's hard for me to believe that a phone as well-known and advertised as Samsung can have such a serious defect after coming into contact with a small amount of water. From now on, I am beginning to doubt the waterproof capabilities of this device. I hope that sharing my case will contribute to greater awareness among users about potential problems related to phone contact with water, as the S24 Ultra can be very easily damaged.
I have described the previous thread at this link,
so I have no choice but to replace the device under insurance. The phone is absolutely not suitable for use in survival conditions - just contact with rain and a device over £1000 is worse than cheap smartphones from China.
