S24 Ultra washed out colours

Hello,, I've just received my S24 Ultra and compared to my S21 Ultra the colours on the S24 Ultra are washed out and not as Saturated?, I've adjusted all the display settings and still cannot get the colours to match the older S21 Ultra, I've contact samsung uk customer service they went through Smart Tutor and couldn't find anything amiss has anyone else found this to be the same on their S24 ultra? I'm not sure if Samsung UK are aware of this issue? And whether a software update will solve it?, I suspect it's the new Gorilla glass amour glass which is anti-reflective which is great but not at the expense of colour, I'm seriously considering returning the S24 ultra and keeping my S21 Ultra

I've upgraded from s23 to normal s24. As mentioned earlier, the vivid option isn't doing anything. Reds in home screen aye washed out and no matter whether eye shield on/off there's no improvement. I've been through all settings and have realised actually there is no option for setting screen resolution on s24 either. Maybe on s24 ultra you can set it but not on s24 normal. I don't personally think it's screen protector related however will never be able to tell as im using the samsung protetcor that I applied immediately after recieving phone. I'm not convinced my gallery photos are the correct collour either though. However if you notice then the colours are fine if you put the brightness on max.

Talking of screen protectors I feel the Samsung one we recieved leaves so many more finger prints and marks compared to one I used from Ebay for s23. Such a shame.

Anyone noticed also that the battery depletes quickly too compared to s23 and I thought this phone has upgrade to 40000mAh. I've just started off from 100% battery.. typed this message out and on 97% already. That's on adaptive brightness no Bluetooth, wifi on and no music or anything playing. To save battery I've even put it on the basic refresh rate too

On the first day or two the battery will be depleting really quickly as the phone is setting things up in the background, indexing your gallery, generating thumbnails etc etc - that should settle after couple days.

I think reviewers are either blind, or they have received units with a different firmware where this issue doesn't exist.

I disagree, side by side with my S23 Ultra there is literally no combination of settings that would make the S24 Ultra look remotely close in terms of colour saturation.

Does eye comfort hurt anyone else's eyes? It makes that washed out thing so much worse and I feel like I'm straining to look at the screen. They keep changing the name of it but I've had the reduced blue light (which this is) setting turned on for about 3 or 4 years now and it has never felt like this. Setting it up side by side with my S23 Ultra was ridiculous how different it was. Might need to borrow another phone to record how bad the S24 display is.

Same issue here. Currently thinking about returning it. It's a huge downgrade vs the screen on the fold 4. It looks like a software issue though as if you open instagram and drag the notification panel down look at the icon vibrancy. Then close instagram and look at the the notification panel it's all washed out. It's really disappointing either way

S24+ here, same issue. Immediately noticed a difference VS my s23u, and as previously noted the vivid setting doesn't seem to do anything. 

Having more natural colors is one thing, but this has to be a bug considering it's not just the muted colors, but black in general is washed out levels of grey instead of inky black as it should be on an oled panel. 

Hopefully an actual software issue and not hardware..

Hey, I've just tried a factory reset and the Vivid and Natural settings are still the same, no difference between the two settings 😞

Which is S24 Ultra.... brightness is equivalent and same settings
