Hello,, I've just received my S24 Ultra and compared to my S21 Ultra the colours on the S24 Ultra are washed out and not as Saturated?, I've adjusted all the display settings and still cannot get the colours to match the older S21 Ultra, I've contact samsung uk customer service they went through Smart Tutor and couldn't find anything amiss has anyone else found this to be the same on their S24 ultra? I'm not sure if Samsung UK are aware of this issue? And whether a software update will solve it?, I suspect it's the new Gorilla glass amour glass which is anti-reflective which is great but not at the expense of colour, I'm seriously considering returning the S24 ultra and keeping my S21 Ultra

Glad you also raised this. I put in an error report to Samsung because what's the point of having a "vivid" and "natural" display option if there's no difference between them. Bring back the choice! I don't think it's anything to do with the reflective coating. But if it is... It's a shame. The blacks definitely look deeper than last year's S23 Ultra I had. So it's still an improvement, and the display is Noticeably brighter and less reflective. Jus want those popping colours back.

It's not the coating, it's software. Samsung, fix, ASAP!

I do not get your point. Finally! Vivid color tone do not look as awful, as it was before on other devices. It was too bright and had too inaccurate colors.

Before it showed very inaccurate colors. Now, however, I still prepare Natural display mode with adaptive color tone turned off, as colors there are pretty accurate and looks more calibrated.

Previous Vivid display mode I would rate wit 1 star. But after changes, I would say 3,5 stars. Because it is still inaccurate.

Would like to see Samsung bring back the more vivid display when selecting the vivid option. Natural can stay "accurate". It should be a preference option with what the end user finds pleasing. Select what you like.

It's worse at night and I tried all display combinations, the home screen is washed out and icons are faded. During the day it's better but at night it's terrible.

Hopefully they'll release an update that at least gives us the option to give it the vivid color tone we're used to! No one dislikes options! That way the people who prefer this natural look can still have that. Win-win for everyone!

Really disappointed after using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Hope they can solve this issue soon.

Thankfully, there are some honest reviewers out there like Velian Speaks Tech and Tech Preacher, but unfortunately their channels are not as big as the usual bunch.

This is the rubbish reply from Samsung on the error report sent, *****....

Hi, the Galaxy S24 Series display colours and brightness have been adjusted for more accurate and comfortable vision while using. The display technology has undergone some changes to offer a more natural viewing experience, which may result in differences in colour depth when compared to older devices.
This colour adjustment is not a defect of the product.

Check in the device settings if Screen Mode is set to “Vivid” or “Natural”. If set to “Natural”, change it to “Vivid” to see brighter colours on the screen. You can find this by going to Settings > Display > Screen Mode > Select Vivid.

If “Eye Comfort Shield” and “Adaptive Colour Tone” are enabled, you will not be able to adjust the White Balance level and its Advanced Settings.
You will still be able to switch the Screen Mode between “Vivid” and “Natural” but the range of colour adjustments and all the Advanced Settings might be limited. ^SG
