No .samsung say it 2600 nits and the s23 only 1750 .but the s23 win in brightness.the s24 get only brighter when you watch hdr .99% people dont watch in hdr.and outside the s24 only win whit the antiglare but s23 still win in brightness

That makes sense then. Most youtube content isn't in hdr. So I'd still prefer s23u if that's the case. So even apps like tiktok s23u would be better still because it's brighter in sdr content.

I'm happy with the colors of the screen now, and I never use my phone on 100% brightness so I'm good with how it looks now. Glad that Samsung actually listened to us and kept putting out updates until it was good enough for most of us. Honestly shocked they did that! I was always going to keep the phone regardless though. I got this 1TB monster to run my business from so the power and everything was my main reasoning for it!

Yeah I'll take the anti glare and this beautiful display over a slightly brighter display, especially considering I never use 100% brightness. I didn't know people did that tbh, unless you're out in the sun and can't see your screen. But that's when anti glare helps. It's a much better tradeoff IMO and the S24 Ultra that I have is better in every other way than the S23. And the screen is all preference. I prefer the stronger screen and anti glare over extra brightness everyday of the week

Yeah. I ended up sending my s23u, as I used the s24u daily back and forth, I was used the s23u until I used the s24u. It makes the s24u totally usable everywhere, it's so much easier to see. Besides the extra brightness really works outdoor not indoor where I do not need the extra brightness. I never had to use the full brightness indoor.
The s23u does have this nice milky smooth display, less grainy.

That's true it less grainy

You will see then when it is sommer my s23 ultra was much brighter in adaptive mode you could see .now on s24 plus i must use max brighntess.🥵

I just got the S24 Ultra yesterday. The color is AWFUL! I have tried every setting combination that I could and it's just so washed out. Samsung better get a fix for this fast. I'm so disappointed to spend so much money and get a phone that has a display 10X worse then the 4 year old Samsung S20 that I have been using. I bought this phone for the cameras. I have an online business that depends on the accuracy of the colors in the photos that I upload of my merchandise. How can I accurately edit when what I am seeing will not be what my clients end up seeing on there display? This is not OK Samsung.

I'd return it and get a s23 ultra. You'll be much happier with the display.

Simple fix. Go to updates and get the latest update. That will bring the vividness slider to view. Slap it all the way to the right and you will have a bright, crisp display.
