Hello,

Don't know if their is another way to give feedback about a software bug. If their is, please tell.

On my S24 Ultra I'm always coming to a point that most of the apps won't connect/load when I'm on my home network.

The only solution to this is clearing the cache completely when the phone is in save mode.

Clearing the cache from the apps separately doesn't help. I always need to go in safe mode to clear it completely.

This helps for a (short) time. Sometimes after a few day, sometimes after some weeks I need to do it again. This started after a firmware update 3 months ago.

I have the same problem. On different WiFis, including my own, several apps cannot load, from Google Drive and OneDrive apps to the AliExpress app and even a simple smart home app. For example, in the case of Google Chat, only sending images doesn't work on WiFi; it simply doesn't upload them, while other apps are completely nonfunctional.

On the same network, the Note 10+, the A52, and the laptops work perfectly. The only viable solution is not to use WiFi, only mobile data, which is not ideal since a premium phone without WiFi is almost useless. There are several threads on the forum where people are complaining about similar issues. My own network is definitely fine; it's just the S24 Ultra that doesn't want to work with it, and of course, with others either. Interestingly, if an app loads once with mobile data, it will work with WiFi for a while. This suggests that the phone has some sort of cache/DNS problem.

Thanks for confirming.

It does indeed look like some sort of cache issue.

Everything is up to date as mentioned.

And my network is 100% fine. I'm very confident it's not my Wifi network. It's a phone problem.

I'm going to reset the WiFi settings once I'm home. (On vacation now)

Concerning the VPN. With or without a VPN or firewall, behaviour is the same.

I had the same problem, as soon as I did July update my problems started. Phone calls and data keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, it is near impossible use data. I did everything, reset network settings, even changed my network 3 times in a week thinking it was them. Even done 2 factory resets and it still didn't cure the problem, phonenis 5 months old and it's useless, it was sent to samsung under warranty for repair, am stillwaiting for it's return, very disappointing to say the least

So, done a bit more research and the problem is Samsung related and Wifi 6 (802.11ax) related. Samsung phones can become very slow if on a Wifi 6 network. The first post about this is from 2j ago on this and other forums.

Why isn't this solved allready, anyone any idea?

Resetting Wifi settings, just like clearing the cache can solve this problem temporarily. Even changing the Mac adress to the fixed Phone Mac adress can solve the problem temporarily, but as long as you're on a Wifi 6/7 network it comes back (tested now several times).

It's not that their isn't a connection, it just becomes very slow (to the point as their is no connection).

Just to give an idea

Hi Robin,

This has been inactive for a while now but the problem is still alive.

I tried everything as suggested. Resetting Wifi, Bluetooth en Network settings, clearing the cache completely in recovery mode.

Both help but only for a while.

Edit: Update, resetting Wifi and Bleutooth settings doesn't help. Forst one was false positive. 4 times later and doesn't help. Only clearing cache in recovery mode does help.

Sometimes a couple of weeks, sometimes a couple of hours.

Problems occur on Samsung apps and other apps (Gmail app, X app, some baying apps like ebay, etc). It's not that their isn't a connection. Its just that its a very slow connection. (Like photo's and videos not loading or very, very slow, mail updates not working because of server time outs because it takes to long, etc...).

Only happens on networks with the (802.11ax) protocol, and only after a while.

My son, who has a S23 had no problems until the last firmware updates. He begins to experience the same issue now.

We went on holiday for 3 weeks, the same happened on holiday, no problems in the beginning. After a week it started on my S24U.

If you can disable the 802.11ax protocol the problem is gone. Unfortunately I can't disable it on my home network.

This is definitely an issue with the S24U that I frustratingly continued to experience for months with my home network, using a WiFi6 router which was then replaced with a brand new Netgear WiFi7 router. My roommate with an S23U and then a Fold5 never experienced any issues at all... And I continued just not using home wifi, which sucked because even though I have unlimited data cellular, my house is in a low spot with bad service, but that was at least better than unusable wifi. Then, an unrelated issue had me backup all of my data and do a complete factory reset. I did not restore my phone settings or any of my Samsung Cloud synced Wifi / Bluetooth settings. Ever since (over 2 months now) I have not had any further problems and WiFi7 is blazing. It stinks to have to do this, and the tedious process of putting all my settings back to how I like them, but it may be the only resolution (at least it worked for me) and avoids any corrupted settings or configurations being restored back to the phone (if it wasn't just a bad firmware image from the beginning). Good luck 🤞

Well, you could say you just cleared your cache. 😀

I've tried to upload a report but the problem interrupted the upload. Did it afterwards on cellular and got the response their was to much time between the report and upload.

I'm now waiting on the problem to occur again (did clear the cache) to upload a new log report

I also have a brand new S24 ultra and I am facing similar issue. Whenever I connect to my 5ghz WiFi then in a minute or 2 my phone disconnects and reconnect back. Tried everything from my side but issue is still present. I am going to connect to a friend's 5ghz frequency to see if my hardware is having any issues or my phone has a problem.
