S24 Ultra refuses to switch on.

I have just noticed that my mobile has been off. I believe it had over 80% power 2 days ago and I have not actually used it since but been using my other mobile. I have connected it to the mains power but no indication of life. I expected a kind of battery charging indicator to show but none. As anyone had their brand new S24 or S23 gone dead suddenly? Do anyone know why it would have just gone off and nothing shows up? It defiled my years of tech knowledge on electronics and computer building.

Did you leave it on the charger for about half an hour or more?
Could be something installed on the phone that's drained the battery totally flat. Leaving it on charge for a while should after about 5 to 10 minutes show something.
Maybe try starting it up in safe mode to see if something happens

Seems to be alot of charging problems on the forum lately. Anyway...try plugging into a Pc or laptop see if it springs into life.

I would be curious to learn what the outcome is of all this.

I do have to add one thing which may have absolutely no bearing on this, last year my wife and I were in Rotterdam and quite by accident and without knowing it, she switched her screen display to its lowest setting.  It was also very bright outside which compounded the screen issue even more.

For several minutes I actually thought her phone was fried.  I went inside a building (where it was considerably darker) and could see a glimmer of a screen and finally figured out what had happened.

At any rate, I hope your phone isn't fried.

Guys, I can confirm that after a sudden non-responsive, I've managed to restore power to my S24 Ultra by pressing the volume down and the power buttons together. I plugged it on the charger for an extended overnight charging before powering on. I'm still baffled by the power drain. I can only assume that this was caused by either some Apps or software update. So if you're having powering up issues on your new samsung S24 Ultra, then follow the above steps. Please make sure you hold the buttons down for 4-6 seconds or until you see Samsung name appear on the screen, but do not press for a prolonged period. Good luck.

It was either a software update or some kind of apps I much have installed while setting it up and enabling several features. Thanks for your kind advice. 🤜🤛🫶🙏

All sorted after an extended overnight charge and played about with the down and power buttons. 👍 👌 now. Thanks for input.

I have had the same issue on 32 days old Samsung S24 Ultra 1TBand it requires a PCB / motherboard replacement.
