S24 Ultra, nearly 20k photos are disappeared

Hi.. sorry about my English. I need an expert to help me get the answer. My Galaxy S24 Ultra has a problem. When I woke up this morning, I didn't look up my mobile and I went out, I took 1 photo. Then in the afternoon I tried to looking for a photo so I have found out that there is only 1 last photo that I just have taken left in the camera folder, screenshot folder and another 10 folders are disappeared. Altogether around 20k photos are gone and the space in the mobile has raised up so it means they are not hiding somewhere in this mobile. I call the Samsung call centre and went to the store, no one could answer me anything about the cause. Have anyone heard something like this? Or what would be possible to make 20k photos are disappeared. No child and my mobile always next to me and no way that I could accidentally delete it, otherwise they should be in the bin

Try going into Google Photos and see if they have been backed up in there.

Sometimes it will back up and automatically delete them off your phone if you're running short on space.

Sorry to hear of your problem.

What backups exist when you look at Settings \ Accounts and backup?

Is it possible you already have a backup to the Samsung Cloud ... or Google Drive?

I'd be curious to learn what's going on.   I hope things turn out well for you.

@Members_dp6irL7  I assume you have checked thoroughly, the photos are definitely not located in My Files or Google photos? otherwise are your photos  synced to One Drive or backed up  to any cloud service/local storage,  Samsung Cloud no longer backs up photos?

I turned off all sync,  one drive,  cloud, google photos since last year because it was full and keep sending me email to buy a storage.   And I re-checked,  nothing has been sync or uploaded newer than last year

All backup are turn off since my earlier S23 because it was full.   I realised somethings that all photos that have been synced from earlier S23 are gone + Screenshot folder + camera.   But some folders are left 1-10 photos from new save like IG,  messenger.  The strange thing is,  why some folders have some photos left and most of folders are gone the whole folder

I hope you keep us posted on anything you learn.  A quick rough estimate of 20,000 photos comes to more than 70GB of storage.

The same thing happened to me this morning. What worked for me was looking up the Secure Folder. All my photos were there and I was able to move them back to my phone gallery. Hope this helps you too and anyone else with this problem!

The same thing has been happening to me. They are backed up on my google account, but i have plenty of space on my phone, i still have 348 GB available. Do you have any idea what else can be happening?
