s24 Ultra Image quality

As a photographer & pixel peeper, coming from the s21 Ultra to the s24 Ultra, I'm very disappointed in the camera.

• Dng files that aren't genuine Raw files 

• Poor subject separation. E.g., Focused subjects look like a flat oil painting as opposed to popping from the background. Edges of subjects are noisy.

• Sub par image quality with excess noise, colour banding and aggressive unwelcome post processing. 

The device is good otherwise, but the Camera needs serious attention. 

Samsung 🙏 Please keep working to improve this Flagship's camera

In fairness taking an image with a big streetlamp in frame is going to absolutely ruin night sky shots.

You'd get an amazing shot a few miles from the light pollution

Light pollution still ruining any chance of true astrophotography.

You might get some sort of results with a very long exposure but it would be nothing like a clear dark sky.

Might just be a simple mistake, but good luck contacting someone at Samsung that understands the issue and is going to fix it.

The hardware is very capable, but Samsung refusing to check what they did with raw support is making it useless:

Yes you are right, s24 ultra Camera needs a software update . I agree with all of the issues which you mentioned. Raw is a processed image. Color banding issue is really frustrating, it makes the image unusable as Instagram compression makes it worst. Attaching a sample shot of color banding issue.

are you able to disclose what 3rd party app was used. I think i will give up relying on Samsung to fix this.
