UPDATE JULY 4TH:

Several users confirmed the same issue since I first posted
Symptoms: USB-C Port not recognised, No charging/data connection. Recovery mode not possible due to no cable being detected
Tried: Swapping cables, charging plugs, tested safe mode, dev settings, toggled fast charging, reset settings, factory reset phone, swapped entire charging port to another official part (no change)
No moisture warnings (but happens for some people) Wireless charging unaffected

THIS ONLY OCCURED AFTER UPDATING TO ONE UI7, JUNE PATCH DID NOT RESOLVE THIS.

STILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGED AS AN ISSUE BY SAMSUNG

Original post follows

Tried cache clearing
Waiting for a new security patch
Dev settings changing usb behaviour
Wiping all settings
Factory reset phone.
Tried safe mode

Unable to charge or see a usb connection at all.

Its not a hardware issue, confirmed by installing a new charging port, this is software only.

So you have presumably fast battery drain? Any usb issues?

I've seen that issue talked about way before OneUI 7.

OK cool. So its a known SW problem then that's reoccurred? What was the fix previously?

You are assuming the "brand new port" was installed correctly of course and that there is no fault further down the cable (hardware).

You've sort of answered your own question. In safe mode it momentarily connects for a split nanotechnology second then goes of again. That tells me there is an issue with hardware further inside the device.

Which I'd agree with, if anything had changed post or pre ui 7. It ONLY failed post update, like the moment I finished the update and went to charge it. Nothing. But it was on charge fine before it.

So how do you explain that?

I can't explain that other than what has been said already.

If it was a software issue, all users would be impacted. Only a small number are out of the 10's of millions of S24 series devices out there....

So it isn't software unless there is a conflict with a 3rd party app

Hi @Azzaaaaaaa, I've had similar issues with a USB port before, so I fully understand your frustration with this.

Given everything you've tried, I'd recommend sending an Error report from the Samsung Members app, as our engineers will be able to look into this and confirm if the issue is software or hardware related. Once they've done this, they can provide advice on the best way to deal with it.

To send an Error report, have a quick read of our handy guide:

I submitted that, the samsung chat recommended the same. Weirdly they didn't ask me to do anything and just said nah send it off for repair mate 😂, I was like guys, was there anything in the error report to guide or show a fault that you can see!? Its used daily so sending it without a replacement isn't workable as its her work phone

Same issue happened to me after the update yesterday (ATT S24+). I didn't replace any parts and the phone is less than a year old.

I have a bought a brand new s25. Worked fine for first few weeks, then updated to UI 7 and moisture detected message popped up. Has now happened to my girlfriends phone (s23) and my mates s24 since updating. Oh and my tab S9 has started intermittently doing it since updating the UI. There is no way this is all hardware!
