UPDATE JULY 4TH:

Several users confirmed the same issue since I first posted
Symptoms: USB-C Port not recognised, No charging/data connection. Recovery mode not possible due to no cable being detected
Tried: Swapping cables, charging plugs, tested safe mode, dev settings, toggled fast charging, reset settings, factory reset phone, swapped entire charging port to another official part (no change)
No moisture warnings (but happens for some people) Wireless charging unaffected

THIS ONLY OCCURED AFTER UPDATING TO ONE UI7, JUNE PATCH DID NOT RESOLVE THIS.

STILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGED AS AN ISSUE BY SAMSUNG

Original post follows

Tried cache clearing
Waiting for a new security patch
Dev settings changing usb behaviour
Wiping all settings
Factory reset phone.
Tried safe mode

Unable to charge or see a usb connection at all.

Its not a hardware issue, confirmed by installing a new charging port, this is software only.

Have you got a background in electronics?

There is no need to be rude. None of us get paid to help or provide support.

Whether we have a background on electronics or not, it is irrelevant. It is plain troubleshooting. Assuming you have the latest firmware. If it were a software issue (firmware) all S24 Ultra would be having the same issue, because they all have the same software. The fact that only a few shows the problem, makes it more probable to be a hardware issue with those phones. It might no be the port, it might be the controller or any other part that controls, drives the the USB connection.

Did you try doing a factory reset, then start the phone without connecting to WiFi or SIM card? Does it shows the same problem in those conditions? It could be that some app is restored and causing the grieve.

It's a hardware issue. If you factory reset and it's still not working as it should, that will pretty much confirm it. A software issue would be a widespread issue, this is not.

And yet theres people in this forum with the same issues and across the net. Its had a brand new port. And how do you explain it falling over just as I do the uodate to ui 7?

Hardware allergic to it 😂?

Even so, most are anecdotal, no evidence is provided, or there is simply no way to confirm the veracity of the claims. As someone who's been used to troubleshooting PCs and software since the 90s and still do so today, I find it highly doubtful the software is the root cause of these issues. If it were software to blame, there'd be a much wider spread issue, than simply a couple dozen. With those numbers, it's more likely to be hardware faults.

My best guess is most are overheating whilst charging as summer is upon us and it's a lot hotter. A lot of users are very unaware of how much impact heat has on efficiency for electronics like computers and especially phones.

So did I at first, but theres dozens of people noting the same if not similar issues. An example would be moisture detection in the port. People now seeing that randomly occur and not disappear since ui7, ive spoken to a local repair centre near me who wondered why he'd suddenly got a massive influx of samsung customers complaining they couldn't charge their phones. I gave him the phone to assess and he replaced the charging port with a brand new genuine part, same response, no usb comms. How do I explain the random flicker of usb that only appears once when in safe mode during boot? Its not even a dodgy contact causing that as its not repeatable when you move the cable, and the port had been swapped. Ive ruled cables charger and phone port out.

It's definitely something to do with the update. I had no problem with my ultra 24 until the update. Not the last one, but one before that.
I tried lots of options/ adviceand it's ok for a short time and going back again to having issues.
Its too much to explain what its happening, so I am hoping someone else has more patience to explain on forum like this one, and Samsung will correct their error.
Not too mental visual changes - battery, Bluetooth on/off .
Why fix something that wasn't broken 🙄
Now , it is broken 🤨

This is what ive being trying to tell you. It doesnt seem hardware specific, its taking out the hardware not a root cause for it.
