I've been ignoring this problem for a while but my phone would get really hot whilst just being in my pocket with nothing on.
I've used a good third party app to see that my phones battery temp goes up to 41*C whilst doing nothing.
This is starting to worry me now and I'm wondering for any help/advice ?

Restart the phone. Could be a runaway app.

What's is running typically? Check the apps you have installed around about the time issue started

I've just uninstalled apps I don't use or are suspects of it, although i can't remember if an app caused it as this problem was roughly after 2 weeks of getting the phone, so some time ago

Hi,
While it’s normal for your phone to heat up occasionally, the optimal temperature can range from 0°C to 35°C. Temperatures between 36°C to 43°C are still considered normal, but anything above this is unsafe.

Just back up your phone and factory reset it. Leave it as stock for 24 hrs and monitor. In that time, don't load any 3rd party software or customisations. Don't load your backup. If the phones temperature remains normal, then consider reinstalling your backup, but refrain from installing any of the 3rd party stuff. If you really need 3rd party apps, then download them manually one by one and check what effects each one has on the phone temperature.

@Krystian101 perhaps try these troubleshooting steps.

If your not seeing a pop up warning on the phone and or the phone isn't shutting down then the phone isn't seeing itself presenting a problem.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

@Krystian101: To address the possibility that background activity is the cause of your device overheating, please take a look at the steps below.

- Head to Settings > Device care > Memory > Clean now

- Tap the Recents button in your Navigation bar (3 vertical lines) and close any apps that you're not using by swiping upwards on the preview window, or hitting 'Close all'.

- Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Mobile data when not in use

- Restart your device every 24-48 hours
