S24 Ultra Borrowbox App

Hi, I am having an issue with the Borrowbox app on my new S24 Ultra. The audio keeps stopping when I leave the player. This doesn't happen with my other audio apps, Spotify, Audible etc. I have checked all the usual, power, battery, data saver is off, allowed to run in the background, app is not sleeping or in deep sleep, battery is set to optimised (have tried with unrestricted too) etc but the audio keeps stopping when I leave the app. It's so frustrating. Any help?? Cheers

I just got an email from Borrowbox support stating that they have released an update to resolve this issue, version 3.10.02. I updated the app and it's working perfectly now... at last!

Not yet unfortunately. I have reached out to Borrowbox support. If I receive a resolution I will update this post

They've replied to me. I was referred to https://dontkillmyapp.com/samsung
And in there for samsung it suggested turning off adaptive battery,
For my phone, running android 14, I found this by typing adaptive battery in the search bar of settings. But the long way round to find it is... settings/battery protection/ then choose off.
It also recommended turning off putting apps to sleep , which is settings/battery/background usage limits/ click put unused apps to sleep to off).
These two changes have let borrowbox run even when screen locked.

Yeah they replied to me with that solution too however, I had already checked all those settings, which I told them in my first email too. Anyways, still not working for me 😕. Glad you got it working though

Oh nooo 😞 how annoying. I also have " remove permissions if app unused" off in the actual borrowbox app settings. In case that helps you? (Fingers crossed)

Have that too! It's so frustrating. I have checked all the settings, both phone and app, no joy. Spotify, Audible etc all working fine, it's just this bloody one

I didn't think borrowbox that helpful....referred to that website, and android 14 isn't even mentioned under samsung. I have the battery on unrestricted. Just in case that works in combo with all the other things. I can see you have it back on optimised from yr original post.

Ok, it stopped working. Ie went off again when phone locked. Restarted the phone, it is now running again when phone locked. Have you tried the off and on again.

Mine not working again. 😳 I think I'm going to have to give up. Which is really annoying as I like accessing some audio books for free via borrowbox, rather than pay for them all on audible. Is there a workaround? Another way to access borrowbox other than just their app?
