S24 ultra help

My S24 ultra is stuck on beta version. I purchased this from a refurbished site in the UK and after speaking with Samsung they said that the previous owner opted in for the one ui 7 beta and as a result my phone will not upgrade to the one ui 7 release version. Can anyone help with the next steps to take? Apps won't work now and say they are not available on the app store.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

If Samsung have confirmed it won't update (presumably unless the previous owner completes the beta which obviously they won't) then I would return it to the retailer for replacement.

I'm not sure that a Factory Data Reset will even help and we don't recommend flashing software on this forum.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Only option would be return the phone to where you purchased it from I'm afraid.

If you bought your within the 30 days then you would be eligible for a refund or replacement. Where did you buy the S24 ultra from

Phones Direct in the UK. Their policy is 30 days and I'm over that by 10 days. But this issue has been happening for over 2 weeks now. Started with just 1 app and then became more regular.

I just thought it was because I was on the beta and had to wait for the final.

Is there not a way where you can leave the beta program? Have you tried using Smart Switich to see if a stable update is available to download

Yea I've done a full reset and then tried through smart switch. Spoke with Samsung and they said to send the phone to them but I cba with that.

I'll call phones direct on Tuesday due to it being a bank Holiday here.

Ok. If nothing else happens. I would recommend returning the phone back or getting a replacement. You can also buy phones directly from samsung website.

Yea I went to their website and it didn't have the S24 at the time.
