The camera quality is bad, especially noticed when comparing with a year old iphone or other current gen phones.
Photos are washed out, have some noise and are blurry which is immediately noticed once zoomed a bit in the photo. And this is for both daylight and night photos.
The lower gesture bar portion need to have more height because the side swipe gestures to change between apps aren't triggered when using any case that has slightly raised edges on bottom of the phone. It really requires user to dig finger at the most bottom side of the screen to switch them.
The battery life is around mediocre, definitely expected much better battery life from the newest gen phone. Reviewers are still not objective enough when testing the phones.
I waited more than 5 years to upgrade from my Note 10+ and expected much more. Definitely got a better screen and overall performance, but the aspects above mentioned ruin the experience of such an expensive phone.

It's a shame, my ex S22 Ultra in Camera and Zoom was a better beast. I'm glad with my S24 Ultra I know that I have one of the Best device's out there, but only have the thorn stuck in a finger because of the Camera. The zoom is awful 😞

I just moved from ios to android and I am very disappointed with the camera. I am not sure how samsung engineers messed this up so hard. I believe the problem lies on a software level as the pictures are washed away. The level of detail compared to the iphone 15 pro max is just way below. I tried different settings proposed online but to be fair.. it's already to complicated. I paid quite a lot for the phone
Dear samsung engineers please do something about it for the next update.

Bro we here sit for 6 months praying these useless management and devs do something about it. The best thing is to sell it and never look back. I will do it soon and buy a pixel 9. Shame on this company.

Camera system is the beast, but software is not.
Too many glitches, problems with low light, blur, non focus etc.
For a flagship, and a flagship that expensive, this is just unacceptable.

I agree. I paid 1000 euros for that and I feel scammed each and every day I look at this phone. I hate it, I hate the look of it, the stupid UI, the "samsung app store" you need to use and download extra apps to use in your normal apps. I just hate everything all around this package. If the camera was useable, I could brush it off, but when the whole Idea of it is having a beast camera system and they just sat there, in their stupid meeting room, said "Yes, we will get this out like this, and we will charge premium for it, and we will not fix everything wrong with it 7 months later". I despise this company with all my heart. I have sworn no one around me will own samsung products ever again. 3 of my friends bought high end TVs in the last 4 months and guess what? They got LG. SHAME on samsung. SHAME.

Samsung invested billions of dollars into advertising that their camera is the best in the world.
They should have invested that much into developers and camera optimization, and it would be true.

Ok. After some time investing I came up with an improvement on the quality of the pictures in general by disabling samsung optimization.
Now the lowlight is the only thing I can't go around. The quality of the app on processing low light image needs some tunning. Let's see version 6.1.1. If they managed to fix it.
Is also my personal opinion that the camera app and drivers require some work on scenarios where you have dark room and spots high light. The camera app doesn't seem to be able to process this well.
Besides this I took some interesting pictures in day light where I can say it was better than my iphone 15 pro max on same scenarios .
Please check attached the examples.

C'mon. I have s21 ultra, overall quality of photos is not that better on my s24u. Of course there is a difference, but not 1000$ difference, definitely not a 3 years difference. S24u photos look like they have been taken on the phone of 2022.
I also have pixel 7pro on which I have rouined screen, actually I bought s24u to replace p7p. Because I prefer OneIU way more that pixels dumbOS.
I knew that probably camera won't be that good as on pixel, but NOT that MUCH 🤯
