S24 Ultra Bad camera quality and other issues

The camera quality is bad, especially noticed when comparing with a year old iphone or other current gen phones.

Photos are washed out, have some noise and are blurry which is immediately noticed once zoomed a bit in the photo. And this is for both daylight and night photos.

The lower gesture bar portion need to have more height because the side swipe gestures to change between apps aren't triggered when using any case that has slightly raised edges on bottom of the phone. It really requires user to dig finger at the most bottom side of the screen to switch them.

The battery life is around mediocre, definitely expected much better battery life from the newest gen phone. Reviewers are still not objective enough when testing the phones.

I waited more than 5 years to upgrade from my Note 10+ and expected much more. Definitely got a better screen and overall performance, but the aspects above mentioned ruin the experience of such an expensive phone.

I have this phone and I absolutely love it.
You just need a few settings to adjust your phone to your needs.
This phone is full of features and the camera is powerful and amazing.
You need to download all updates and let the phone work for about a week to learn your user habits and the battery will be great. After about a month the battery will adjust itself again, when you will notice a downgrade in batter life, than it will boost itself again.
At least, this is what I experienced.
As with every phone, you have to clean the memory and boost the apps every now and again.
I don't really know Iphone camera, although i know Iphones have great cameras, they have complaints too and a friend of mine loves this camera more than that of Iphone. I know I love it and I would never trade this phone or it's camera for iphone.
If you want iphone or you are not happy with the phone, it's really up to you. You know better what you need.

I agree with velijovic92 that the S24Ultra is not living up to the hype.

I too waited 5 years from S10Plus so it must be obvious to consumers like us to notice a significant change. Unfortunately this isn't the case.

Even after today's software update I still have the same mobile with poor camera quality as the prime issue.

I expected the many lens to make a simple point and shoot easy affair but this isn't the case.

The best part of the phone for me is to photo the moon 🌙 with the zoom function and even this can be argued as AI image rather than real.

Hope Samsung make this a mobile as advertised

I too totally agree with the camera issues posted by velijovic92. I compared the photos taken with iphone 15 plus and s24 ultra. S24ultra is more of bluish. The photos are no were near to the iphone 15 photos.

The photos and videos which I used for comparing were shot at london sea life which was totally indoor.

I slowly started regretting make this purchase.

I can't understand it I got my s24 ultra in February 2024, it replaced my s21 ultra & the 24 ultra blew me away with the improvements from 3 years old model.

Same case here.. a lot of grainy pictures.. this while with my S22+ does it much better. 

In broad daylight, when you take a picture of 3 persons from 3 mater distance. When I check the faces pinch zoom.. it's going back to the 90s and polygons. Really? This spending 1500 euros.. please Samsung fix this or will be thr last device.

I bought the S24 ultra thinking the camera/video record would be better than my S21 5G FE ! Wrong ! The S24 ultra is too dark the IOS needs to be turned up Higher ! Hopefully they update/calibrate the S24 ultra to be bright like the S21 ! 😡

Completely agree that the camera, mainly video, is horrible. The UHD at 60 fps is extremely grainy and seemingly struggles to focus.

I came from pixel thinking this would be a step up for video but now I'm wishing I would've went with the 8 pro.

Worst camera ever, zoom in and you'll be disappointed, it's gonna look like a photo from 10 years ago. I should have repaired My s20+ instead.
