The phone was working fine for a year, but after the UI7 upgrade it crashes randomly 2 to 3 times a week. Anyone else is having this experience?

Crashes how? Did you attempt any troubleshooting

Crashes like a computer crashes and restarts...for example, I can wake in the morning and it has crashed during the night, because it has restarted (I do not have automatic restart on btw). I enter the car, when it tries to connect to the bluetooth of my car and crashes (i.e. it restarted), did that only once so far. 5 minutes ago I went to put my finger in the fingerprint reader and it crashed. All these crashes are not repeatable, they are random. The only thing I tried (10 minutes ago) is what people suggest is the Internet, i.e. to Clear Cache Partition. I will know if this helps probably within a week. It can not be hardware problem since I never experienced such behaviour for a year until UI7 was installed.

Thanks Piper123, I just did this 10/20 minutes ago. I hope that will eliminate the issue, I will know in a week or so. I will post back if it fixes it.

Update (didn't expect to have an update so fast)...so clearing the cache did not help. I connected the phone to the laptop. Then I was in a hurry and disconnected it after browsing the DCIM folder, but not opening any files. I did not eject the mount, just disconnected the cable, when to another room and switch on the phone (by switch on, I mean I activated the screen). It decided to reboot...I never expected such a flaky behaviour from a Samsung phone. I have own 10s of Samsung phones, never experienced such behaviour. It must be a driver problem.

Make sure you have a backup. Then see if it restart occurs while in safe mode. Also check diagnostics via Samsung members app.
If the issue continues contact Samsung tech support. I'm assuming phone is still in warranty

I put it in safe mode, just to see what it does, but it disables most apps, so it does not really help, in the sense that it is not like it crashes on specific app use. It is rather interesting that after coming back to normal mode the front clock widget, had disappeared and I had to put it back on.

Safe mode helps to determine is it hardware or software issue. Latter is easier to rectify
