Help ! I received my new S24 plus today and set the phone up but for some reason throughout the day it just shuts of then starts up again , a couple of times its got quite hot.
Ive tried everything that was suggested on the samsung help page and nothing has helped.
It's just completely random, I took it out my bag earlier to show my partner and it just shut down , I wasn't even using it.
Do I send it back to samsung ? Is this something that has happened to anyone else ?
Any advice is appreciated 😀

@Jobones: Please try heading to Settings > Device care > Tap the graph symbol in the top right to access your Care report, then check the 'Last auto restart' section. Does this reference any automatic restarts, or does it say 'Off'?
You may also wish to try restarting your device in Safe mode, as this will disable all third party apps, and help to determine if your problem is stemming from an external source. To Enter Safe mode, press and hold the Power button until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release > Touch and hold Power off until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release > To confirm, tap Safe mode.
Monitor the performance for a few hours, depending on the frequency of the restarts. If you notice an improvement, restart the phone as you would normally and uninstall any apps that you have added to the device since you first encountered the problem.

It would be also worth trying this generic troubleshooting step too @Jobones
Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

Happening on my new S24+ as well.
Completely random crashes at different parts of the day. Most recent one, I was on a call and the device shutdown.

Yep, happening to me too since getting my phone yesterday. Been running for less than 24 hours, (with 8 of those switched off over night) and phone has restarted about 12 times - 5 times today in last 90 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable for the cost of the device
