Anyone realise how quickly the S24plus (exynos 2400 variant) drains. I upgraded from an S8 plus which is about 6years old and strangely my new S24 plus on mobile data barely outperforms the 6 year old phone during usage. The only time it siginificantly does, is during ideal time where my S24 plus loses about 1% every hour compared to my S8 plus losing about 2-3%. It's unbelievable how apps such as Google maps and camera etc (which are supposed to be optimised) drains the battery so quickly as if they are not.

As a personal user of a Galaxy S24, I can say that it depends on the current apps your using.

I don't play too many games on my phone. I do understand when it's handling heavy-duty games or long hours of gameplay, but apps such as Google maps and other google service apps should be easily and efficiently handled by a 4900 mAh battery. Taking the battery drain when i am using Google maps and extrapolating, i am sure i can't have 5 hours of screen on time when using Google Maps

Can you run the phone from 💯 % to around 15% and then have a look in your Device Care Section under Battery and post the results here @Sabclips

Also use the optimisation tool if you haven't already and think about clearing the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section.

> Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Google maps are one of the worse apps on your battery life as it's live all the time due to it's GPS for constant location

I'd backup and factory reset the phone. And manually add apps as when needed. Also Do not restore settings as well.
Rest you can get from back up.

If you don't wanna do that do a WIPE CACHE AND REPAIR APPS.
