S24+ OTG Support

I recently bought an S24+, upgrading from an S10+, and had no issue using Samsung SmartSwitch.  However, I now want to backup my phone to a USB (type C) stick - the same one I used to backup my S10+.

However, it appears OTG is not supported on the S24+.  Can anyone confirm that it is indeed not supported please?

I have found various youtube videos which implies it is supported and how to troubleshoot  (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCw70EfBdW8), and followed those steps, but they have no effect.  I tested the USB stick on my partner's S54 and it works fine there - none of the "Developer mode - Default USB Connection" setup steps needed.
