S24+ awful 50MP camera quality

Hi,

Do you now any special setting for the 50MP camera, what can improve the quality, please?

This AI ***** is awful, ruining every picture i make at 50MP. The intelligent optimisation is set to minimun, but unable to switch off. Tried the RAW camera app, does the same...

What is the point of the 50MP if the AI ruining every pictures? The reason i bought this phone is the strenght of the camera. Actually is the weekness of it 🤦‍♂️ Wanted to upgrade from the flip 12MP to a 50MP, but i think already regret it😞

Agree with the sentiment here, camera quality continues to shock me with how bad it is... Lesson learned, won't be buying a new Samsung again.

I see no one mentioned about the image processing that takes place in the Gallery app.

I installed a third party app to open the pictures and replaced the default Samsung Gallery.

Still, I could not remove Samsung Gallery as the default preview app in the camera screen, so I removed permissions for the Samsung Gallery completely.

The optimisations seems to stop, but you have to open the newly installed Photo app to view pictures, everytime.

Everything about S24s 50mp cameras is bad... My 6 years old camera from an Asus ZenFone 5z is putting this expensive Samusung S24+ to shame.

 

 

I had no expectations, but man... I'm still disappointed.

I tried iPhone, its camera is very good, but I find iOS weird and limited.

Thinking of Pixel as my next phone if Samsung does not acknowledge this severe bug and does not fix it

Same here, literally waiting for the next Pixel/iPhone release at years end. S24U is great in every aspect apart from the camera, but too me that's enough of a reason. 

Samsung is really going backwards in this department.

Yes, camera is more than enough reason, this is the main reason. Looked after the motorolas and xiaomis. Both looks promising. I have iphone as work phone, don't lime it at all...

Mother of god i just bought that phone, and they haven't fixed it yet?

12 MP is bad but 50 MP is horrible - the photos have diffrent colors.

Everything have fake colors, too bright, too shiny.

+ i have problem with quality of videos on FB, IG and Youtube. Much worse quality then on my S21 FE, i almost can't see nothin when im watching football video or something in motion - its blurry.

I advise you to return it while you're still during the buyer trial period. Samsung  improved NOTHING during the 8 months since the 24 swries was released, and it was a new phone, with media attention upon it. Imagine next year it will be already old and forgotten.

Just return it, if you're not satisfied now, don't expect anything better from it. If not, you'll probably regret later keeping it - like me.

Wish I'd done better research before buying my new s24 last month. For comparison, here is the aurora this evening, 12mp on the left, 50mp on the right. Shockingly bad quality on the 50mp. Barely any detail, and a larger sensor should have better light sensitivity, but it doesn't. I fear it's not only a firmware issue, but a component one also

I really on the edge now to sell or send it back. Do you think is it really possible to send it back and ask for refund?
