I just got the OneUI 7 update this morning on the S24 Ultra and am pretty satisfied mostly. The device is smoother, camera is nicer to use and feels better. I still can't fit the small Duolingo widget shape to the other widgets, but oh well, it's not that big of a deal. What is a biiiig issue is the locking animation. How can you mess something like this up?? The locking function is slow to start and when in does it is awful and buggy. It's a big deal on any device, let alone a flagship device. You can see in the video just how bad this is and I see it every time I lock the phone. Does anyone else have this problem or a solution to it? Interestingly the animation is normal (and pretty smooth I must say) when locking the device on the lock screen or when the "Show wallpaper" option is on for the AOD.

Got the same problem on my S24U, but looks like i found a workaround. I suppuse you have your display resolution set to FHD like mine. Switching to QHD the bugged animation seems to work properly for me
Give it a try and let me know

Some people (possibly most) dislike instant screen transitions, some consider it a very cheap design and often find it a jarring experience. It's purely user preference of course, but at least with Samsung you can adjust speed, frequency and disable them altogether.

For those not comfortable with developer settings, the easier solution is going to Settings>Accessibilty>Vision enhancements and toggling Reduce animations

Thank you for your tip! I agree about personal preference and love the animations, but don't you see the buggy locking at the end? Watch the video again!
