I love OneUI 7,but it far away from ideal Android skin:
• Different Graphic APIs: A55 (beta) uses Vulkan, and S23 (stable DYD9) uses OpenGL. (screenshot below)
• Volume slider in QS doesn't support tap action; the brightness slider supports it (you can tap and change screen brightness).
• Awful cutoff in Quick Settings
• Live notification exit animation (for example, when the media player goes from a maximized state to the status bar) doesn't have parallel opening/closing, so you can't use your phone.
• The weather application still redirects users to "Weather Channel" when you tap instead of presenting information in the app. This is 2025 outside.
• Animation still shutters when you open the app the first time, then the animation behaves like normal (very smooth; I like it, no hate on this side).
• The clock appears as a floating notification when you turn the "Appear on top" toggle to the "ON" state. What is the point of this? Why this feature wasn't cutted of system?
• Many UI is not centered or have wrong padding. Is this work of UI designers on 6 figure salary with big "experience"?
