receiving text message attachments

I have been receiving texts with attachments, and sometimes they don't come through. I have an x with a circle around it, like it's trying to download. They never download. I hit the x to maybe stop the download and nothing happens. I restarted the phone. It just sits there in a circle of death for weeks. I don't want to delete the conversation to try and get rid of the attachment.

I am having this same issue. I hope someone has a fix for this

I, too, am having the same exact problem.  Purchased a new S24+, had nothing but trouble with it (not receiving texts, unable to send texts, not receiving attachments, x in the circle of death spinning, etc.), returned it thinking it was the phone itself, got a new S24 Ultra, only to have the same exact thing happen with the new new phone!!  What is going on???????????

btw, I am using the Google messaging app, but it also happens on the Samsung messaging app. as well.

I updated the phone and all the apps on it. I also deleted all the unnecessary pre installed apps. This really helped with phone performance and battery life. The problem with attachments not loading resolved as well.

Thanks, just tried to do the same, no change....attachments still not loading.
