Having just got my Samsung 24 ultra and while checking out the various new tech I am having trouble finding how to use the off button as when I do it takes a screen shot and then it will turn the screen I am wondering why they have done this or is it me that's not looking in the right place

hey if you press and hold it,you get some options ,there is an option for side button options ,which should also be in the advanced options in the settings , I hope that helps

In settings and under advanced settings
Go into side button settings and see if it helps with the options there

I have tried that and that did not work on my 23 ultra you could switch the screen off by just pushing it and double tap to turn the screen on

Pull down screen and use the I/O

Go to Settings>Advanced features>Motions and gestures to enable double tap to turn screen on
