Delete the images in the recycle bin in the gallery app.
If you use Google Photos, go into its settings to ensure auto-backup is off. You may need to go to your Archive or Bin in the Google Photos app to delete the photos permanently.
Check other photo backup apps you may have on your phone, like OneDrive or Dropbox, and ensure the auto-backup feature is disabled.
Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Photos (or Gallery).
Tap on Storage and clear the cache.
If you use the same Google account on other devices like a tablet or computer, check if the photos are still there and delete them from those devices as well.
The problem might be an auto-backup setting in Google Photos or another cloud service, a caching issue, or a syncing problem with another device, so you'll need to disable backups, clear caches, and check other synced devices.
