I have an S24 Ultra. I recently returned from a cruise and discovered that ALL of my photos were stored in Google photos (and Amazon photos) but only a very few in 'Gallery.'
I have checked permissions in the ap. Any ideas please ? Thanks.

@Royal107: While I appreciate that you may have checked this already, please head to Settings > Apps > Camera > Permissions > Photos and videos > Always allow all > Back > Gallery > Permissions > Photos and videos > Always allow all.
Furthermore, please tap the Home button > Swipe up from your Home screen > Samsung (folder) > My Files > Images, and check to see if the photos are visible in this location. If so, select an image which isn't showing in your Gallery, then swipe upwards. Below the date and time that the image was captured, what file path is showing here? For clarity, it should typically say '/Internal storage/DCIM/Camera' if it was captured via the Camera app.

Also check your Photos or Amazon app is not set to delete archived photos

Thanks. I have checked and 'Allow All' is checked. My Files/Images only shows the same few photos as in the Gallery App.
One thing I noticed is that in Apps the Gallery is showing 76.30 MB which seems a lot for just a few photos. I suspect that they are in there somewhere. Thanks again.

I can't see how to do that.

@Royal107: You may wish to try heading to the Gallery app > Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right > Recycle bin, to see if the images have somehow made their way here. If they have, press and hold on a photo > Tap on any others you want to include, or hit 'All' in the top left > Restore.
Also, head to the Albums tab > Show all, to see if the images are archived in a hidden folder.

No luck. Recycle bin only had a few that I deleted recently and the Album tag only had the ones that appear anyway. Thanks for trying.
