I noticed after software update the app Good Guardians gives a notification to boost the apps on the phone. I was wondering which is best to do first, boost apps from Good Guardians or clearing partition cache? Or it really doesn't matter? Thank you

I've always wiped phones cache partition, then run app booster. But I don't think there is a best one to do first. Think either one first is fine 😊👍.

Stupid question, but do I need to clear the cache partition every time an update comes through? Why?

Not stupid question. Not everyone is expected to know this.

To wipe partition cache on your S24U or other S24 series:
-turn your phone off
-remove any cases to avoid pressing wrong buttons
-connect your phone to a PC or another Samsung device, phone or tablet. Note only USB C to USB C cable will work.
-press the power button and top side of the volume button
-when the Samsung logo appears release Power Button and keep pressing top of Volume Button
-shortly the Boot Menu of the phone will appear
- read all the options, about the middle of the options you will see Wipe Partition Cache
-use volume up and down buttons to navigate the menu
-use power button to select Wipe Partition Cache and press it to activate Wipe Partition Cache
- wiping Partition Cache takes about a second, watch the bottom left of your phone to check if it's done
-when it's done, your phone will automatically select Reboot Phone System, which is on the top list of the menu
-press the power button to Reboot your phone, this is safe and it will not wipe any data on your phone
-when your phone is switched on remove the data cable and Wipe Partition Cache is done.

I had always just wiped the cache but saw the notification pop up to boost the apps but didn't think anything of it. Thanks for the recommendation 👍 I'll have to download it

I have done neither, and I feel my system and apps are all good. If I do encounter any unexpected issues though, I will fall back on these, but for the most part, I haven't had any issues on these flagships in a while. Only things that come to mind really are some camera quirks which are 99% sorted by a simple app cache and data clear.

Does doing either really make a difference? After the most recent update I cleared cache and the phone is the same as before, tbh it was a couple of days after the update I wiped the cache and didn't notice any difference

I believe it does. I am doing thus because with earlier phones I had problems with the battery and CPU were getting overwhelmed with residual memory and bugs, so I do it to prevent that from happening, even if it's a more capable phone, I want to take care of it.
