Just updated my S24 Ultra to OneUI 7/Android 15, and after being upset at pointlessly removed/harder to access features that I used daily, I noticed that the navigation buttons are extremely unresponsive. All 3 of them require you to mash repeatedly and hope and pray that eventually the button works.
Gestures seem to work fine, but those have always been inconsistent purely by design, which is why I like actual buttons to press. I've seen one post on Reddit of someone else having the issue so it's not just me.
Seriously Samsung, is this your way to force everyone to use gestures? Why can't I just have working buttons? The phone is genuinely unusable with unresponsive navigation buttons. It takes me like 5 seconds just to go to my home screen or pull up the app switcher.
Circle to Search also does not work. Holding the home button does not work.

Hi @Dorraj
The One UI7 is very responsive on my S24 Ultra.
Were you part of the beta program?
You might like to clear the cache partition if you have not done so.
To clear the cache partition,
You need to:
- connect your phone to a computer or another phone.
- turn off the phone,
- press power and volume up simultaneously until Samsung logo appears.
- boot into recovery menu, volume up and down to navigate power to select.
- navigate to "Wipe cache partition"
- press power to select, it will clear the partition.
- navigate to reboot and select.
You might check the Samsung page for clearing cache on apps and cache partition.

No, I was not a part of the beta. It just popped up on my phone and I updated.
Will this cache clearing remove anything I'm signed in to, or any settings for apps? Cause I will not do that if so.

Did the steps and wiped the cache. Navigation buttons are still unresponsive.

I have tried both, buttons and swipe gestures and both are very responsive.
Open Settings -> Device care -> Diagnostics -> Phone diagnostics
Run the diagnostics to see if there is a problem with the phone.

Did the full diagnostics and got 24/24 "normal".

You could do a Screen recording and post it here to have an idea how irresponsive it is.
The other option is
Settings - Apps - One UI Home
Tap Force stop on right bottom corner.
Scroll up and tap Storage
Tap Clear cache on the bottom corner.
Finally you could try the nuclear option. Backup the phone, Backup the chats from Apps like WhatsApp and Viber. Do a factory reset and restore the phone. Of course this is a very last resort. I would avoid it at all cost. It will destroy all settings, files and folders.

There is no force stop setting for One UI Home. It just goes into the settings for Home Screen.
Sure, here's a video of what's happening. Turned on touch so you can see every time I tap, and how it just doesn't even register on the buttons sometimes. And no, I'm not gonna restore my phone because Samsung doesn't know how to make it's own dang software.

We need to wait for the video to be approved.
I can see the force stop.
If you go Settings -> Apps -> One UI Home
Force stop
Storage
Clear cache
