This means Samsung will have to work hard to ensure flawless basic AI on 12GB of RAM and the S25 series. With AI advancing at lightning speed, your S25 Ultra, along with my S24 Ultra, not to mention the other Ultras, may be lagging behind by now.
Depends on adoption really. I'm not entirely convinced AI is going to revolutionise anything quite yet. It's not like AI hasn't been present in all Androids since 2012. The recent trends have only just given them a sort of framework, but most AI features have been leaking into android for years now. The image enhancements were almost all present before we coined them AI as well as many others. Google Gemini is likely to be the default AI for most phones and her footprint is no bigger than 4GB. No, I'm fairly confident AI won't be an issue with the S25 on 12GB RAM for the foreseeable future.
You are 100% correct I'm using an s-25 ultra that is still on December security update. It is now February 11th where are the updates that should have been installed already
Maybe we misunderstood Samsung when they told us we're getting 7 years worth of updates maybe they meant we have to wait up to seven years for an update
And we all are missing a real critical February update. Because that wasn't fixed in the January one I received last week. So again Samsung is late. And bringing their users not what is needed to keep us secure.
When Samsung sells phones even when s24 was sold they promised 7 years software update support. This means no matter what model you have you should get the update instantly. This is Samsung falling short on promises and trying to profit from people ordering s25 series. There is no reason for eh delay none at all whatsoever. This is an intentional delay to boost the s25 orders which is criminal at Samsung's end! Even the beta releases were stable enough and if s25 has stable one ui 7 releases it doesn't make sense that why s24 wouldn't have it by now! All this will do to frustrated customers like me who has been a Samsung loyalist since the first Samsung galaxy s came out to move to another reliable brand which cares about the promises which have been made and does not artificially hold updates to boost sales for the newer models! Utterly disappointed!
I find it fun to read comments on YouTube. So one person said that considering the kind of upgrades Samsung is releasing, they'll have to wait for the S47 😂
When I have to decide this year to replace my S24U I will evaluate how Samsung treated their customers. Lots of broken promises? Will I go back to iPhone? Or do I continue with an Android phone. Would the choice be Pixel? With 7 years of support? Or a OnePlus? 3-5 years support?
