Can you bring back the old UI? My phone has dropped 45% in around 4 hours of me being at work this is appalling, my phone is like 6 month old before the update I could easily get 24 hours of charge with youtube music on in the background, also is there a way I can get my music controls back under the clock instead of at the bottom of the screen I have large hands and this isn't convenient at all, and why can't I have side scrolling on my app page and have them in alphabetical order, this needs addressing before I sent the phone back, this new UI is really bad it's the worse update I've ever experienced

This is the usage, nothing different from what i usually do with my phone as it's usually in my pocket listening through wireless headphones, I usually get home with around 60-70% battery, so in 4 hours this update has eaten 50% of battery power on the phone.1747163557093.jpg

Note it may take a few charging cycles to rebuild your battery usage profile.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Thanks for this. Battery life will always vary based on factors like network stability and app functionality. Your screenshots show that you were connected to 5G (at least while capturing the screenshots). If you happened to be connected to 5G for most of your shift, this will definitely have used considerably more battery than if you were connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Even within that, there will be variations in signal strength.

I'm mindful of the fact that you noted you were getting more battery life from similar usage prior to installing the software update.

In that case, please consult the thread below and follow the Accepted Solution to Wipe the cache partition:

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s24-series/partition-cache/m-p/9293694#M15741

This does not erase any essential data, but it can be a very useful step (particularly after installing a software update). The cache partition contains most of the temporary files, logs, and remembered bits from the various applications on your phone, so it is worthwhile clearing this periodically.

I also recommend installing the Good Guardians app via Galaxy Store. Once you have installed this, please install and use the Galaxy Apps Booster module:

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/mobile-apps-services/galaxy-app-booster/m-p/6018145

The full guide is linked below:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/

Please also ensure that you've updated all of the apps on your phone.

There are many other things you can try and the guide below (from Samsung US) contains a plethora of helpful hints to keep your S24 Ultra in tip-top shape:

With regard to the One UI 7 changes, we do welcome and appreciate all feedback, so please provide this using the suggestions given earlier. Our developers also have a look at the threads on this Community so, if any themes appear to prevalent, these are certainly taken onboard.

Please let us know how you get on.

Awful. Useless phone now. Stuck on blank screen with back arrow cannot access anything.

Them getting rid of the side scrolling alphabetized app drawer is the most frustrating!!! Having to select "customize" then individually move over 100 apps is ridiculous.

This is nonsense. I don't have WiFi and only use 5G. Before the OneUI7 update, my battery easily lasted 24 hours. Now it drains 50% battery overnight while the phone is not in use! Please stop insulting our intelligence. Everyone knows the update was abysmal and broke the battery on people's very expensive phones!
