One Ui Home Crashes trying to add a Widget

When trying to add a new widget to my home screen the One UI Home app crashes and takes me back to my home screen. I've waited a few weeks to see if it's a bug but no updates have come through to fix it.

Any thoughts? Can someone help me?

My workaround is to hold an app icon and select "widget" for the specific app.

Unfortunately not. I'm still awaiting a fix for this. I'm guessing One UI 7 will fix it

Same issue on S25.  Holding an app and calling a widget from there works for most but samsung's own built in calendar crashes ui 7 when doing this method.  Also can't get the battery widget back as this crashes ui 7.  C'mon Samsung.

FYI.  I am using stable release of ui 7 on brand new s25.  Can not load any widgets from home screen using tap and hold method.  It crashes out.  Also cannot add a widget from Samsung's own installed calendar app with the same issue.  Er Samsung, we have a problem here...

I'm still facing this issue, however I have found that I am able to add widgets in safe mode. I have even tried uninstalling all 3rd party apps to see if it is one of them with a dodgy widget, but it still doesn't work.

On my S25 I can see and install all the Samsung Widgets in safe mode.  I lose my App widgets but when I reboot in normal mode it keeps the system widgets I added and I can add the app ones back by press and hold on the particular app.  Not perfect but it is a workaround.
