So I used One UI 7 on my friend's phone and I have to admit even for a beta phase update this was horrible in terms of design consistency.
First of all I like changes to quick settings and the now bar thing and the way they look but who is the guy responsible for designing decisions in Samsung designing section? Even a junior designer knows it's not a good idea to use blur effect all over the design and out of no where pick a translucent effect for another part of the design, this is literally inconsistency in design.
Look at this picture I grabbed from Twitter, this is exactly what am I talking about:
imagine using blur effect for bottom keys, for the new now bar thing or even lock screen widgets but use a translucent effect for the notifications?
I mean what the hell designing team was thinking, this is obviously a disaster in terms of UI design, and unfortunately it's not only this one, this is a huge problem all over one ui 7 beta.
It gets more frustrating since this update was delayed several times and it is not even a good beta version, not to mention this design inconsistency has roots to earlier one ui and is not only limited to one ui 7.
I share other screenshots so you can have an idea why I say designing team or whoever is in charge of these things is just not good.
1. Folder background
This is another issue like the one I mentioned, Samsung has decided to use blur effect for widgets which is appealing but look at folders background, it is again translucent effect, what the hell designing team? Are you paying attention to these? They're tiny but important.
2. Notification bar icon inconsistency
I have nothing to say but the same thing all over again, INCONSISTENCY is major problem in one ui. Other brands have changed signal bars according to their new design, this isn't a good look here.
3. Instant cut
There has always been an instant cut off in all one ui versions and this isn't new, it happens when there are a lot notifications.
It also happens for both navigation controls, there's just an instant cut off when it reaches bottom of the screen, in one word this is ugly. It can be smoothly cut with a blur or feather like effect.
Still this update was promising but I always compare it to rivals and this was just bad even for a beta update.
Most issues are in designing section, I know there are some bugs or issues in animations as well but I won't complain as this is a beta version and it was promising enough.
These are designing problems I encountered and honestly if even after one ui 7 Samsung can't figure out how to fix these tiny design issues, then you need to hire new guys and think about a better design team.

"There has always been an instant cut off" - they are everywhere and Samsung didn't fix that and it's looks bad.

He 100% right. There is alot design mistakes - it's not subjective with instant cut off of elements everywhere in system.

Yes. I installed on my samsung s23+. You have to spend more effort to read your phone.
1/ The notification blocks are grey transparent with tiny black text, with no way to change it to black on white or increase the font size for only the notifications. It is so hard to read chat messages.
2/ Why replace the number of battery remaining with putting the tiny number inside a changing battery background? That is hard to read too
