One UI 7.0 charging issue

After updating my S24 Ultra on Friday April 11th 2025 to the One UI 7.0 version, it no longer recognizes my Samsung superfast charging blocks. I did all the routine checks in settings. I checked the cable and blocks and still nothing. Prior to the update the phone was charging great using my Samsung charging blocks. After the update it no longer recognizes the charging blocks. However my buds pro 3, bose open ear and galaxy watch ultra, all recognize the Samsung superfast charging blocks. Does this One UI 7.0 version has issues? Is anyone else getting this problem?

uiltima actualizacion de samsung  de One UI 7.0 , dejo lenta la carga de tablet.. señores antes de subir una actualziacion.. las prueban.. o llegan y las suben ?  pesima area tecnica de samsung!!

Translation: Samsung's latest One UI 7.0 update slows down the tablet's charging process. Gentlemen, before uploading an update, do you test it? Or do they just arrive and upload it? Samsung's technical department is terrible!

After hours of trial and error I managed to fix mine!

On a whim I decided to give my USB port a thorough cleaning with some 70% isopropyl alcohol and a small swab to really get in there. I did this under a microscope to be extra thorough, but you could probably do it without one. Sure enough, it charged normally immediately after.

What I suspect happened is that the update did something to change either the moisture/debris detection or the connectivity/resistance thresholds for charging, which is why certain cables worked and not others. It also explains why some people's phones were affected and not others. Either way, it's worth a shot for anyone like me who was at their end of their rope with this issue.

I have two s24+. Mine no longer fast charges after UI 7 update. I do not have the 45W charger, but I do have a fast charger. My wife's phone shows fast charge. Both with the same charger and cable. I was a beta tester for UI 7. Never had any problems with the beta. My problems started with the final update. I thought it was my phone until I found this thread.

Edit: I just noticed that when I did the update, the Charging settings>Fast Charging got switched off. Once turned back on, of course, it is not fast charging.

It is charging 16 W max, yes. But if you connect using normal USB4 cable, with all the contacts it will charge at 29 W from USB of PC.

Using MSI center and Intel Arrow Lake (MSI Z890 Carbon Wifi motherboard with new Intel PD  firmware (it is limited in firmware to be 27 W only over USB 2x and a litle bit more (29 W) over USB 3.x)) I can confirm the following: when you use USB2 cable in one direction it looks like this at first

but then eventually switches to bigger values

On the other hand using proper USB 2.x 5 A cable it instantly switches to better mode:
