I am looking for advice on the above subject. I have a Galaxy FE24 and the charging problem is getting erratic.
It started randomly, came up with moisture detected error and unable to charge. I checked and cleaned charging port and waited a whole day and tried again. After that, the message pops more frequently over time even when its not near liquid of any sort. It may charge sometimes and pops with the same error at subsequent charging.
I have cleaned the charging port and cleared USB cache a few times and still get the intermittent error message.
I have been told to reset phone but I am reluctant to do that as I may lose valuable info, passwords and others.
What's the best solution. Please advise if you can help

Hi there! I’ve seen similar issues before, and it can be tricky. A few things you could try:

Check the cable and charger – Sometimes even small dirt or a slightly damaged cable can trigger the “moisture detected” warning. Try a different original Samsung cable and charger.

Dry the port carefully – Even if there’s no water, small dust or lint can cause the sensor to misread. Use a soft brush or gently blow into the port (avoid sharp objects).

Reboot and update software – Make sure your phone is on the latest software; Samsung sometimes fixes charging detection bugs in updates.

Safe Mode test – Booting into Safe Mode temporarily disables third-party apps. Sometimes an app can interfere with charging detection.

If it persists – It may be a faulty moisture sensor or port issue. In that case, a Samsung service centre can replace the part without affecting your data.

It sounds frustrating, but these steps usually help identify whether it’s just a sensor glitch or something hardware-related. Hope this helps!

None of the above steps work, I'm afraid- my s24 ultra has exactly the same problems, but only since the last update, leading me to believe that it's a software issue. 😡😡

Maybe condensation. Put near a dehumidifier or that silica stuff for a day or so. No heat or rice nonsense.

I know this issue is very frustrating. You might have to try few solutions before you go to Samsung support.
Try this and see it this helps

Clear USB cache:
Go to Settings  and then select Apps. Tap the filter icon and enable "Show system apps," then tap OK. Find and tap USB Settings. Go to Storage and select Clear cache.

If that doesn't work then try to switch off Fast charging option and then see if this resolve the issue. You can toggle it back to Fast charging again.

Go to Settings > Battery > Charge settings and turn off the "Fast charging" toggle.

Lastly, check if software update is available.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for advice. Sadly, none of the steps you proffered works. I have been in contact with Samsung support remotely, the expert set my phone to safe mode and even that does not solve the issue.
I am inclined to believe its a software issue as it all started after the last update. I may need to send it in for repairs. Thanks for making out time ti assist.

Done all the above - makes no difference.
I'm convinced that this is connected to the latest update.

This happened to me as well after the updates, it started detecting moisture. 2 weeks later the battery stopped responding to charging and just shows a lightning on the black screen when I connect it.
