One UI 7.0 charging issue

After updating my S24 Ultra on Friday April 11th 2025 to the One UI 7.0 version, it no longer recognizes my Samsung superfast charging blocks. I did all the routine checks in settings. I checked the cable and blocks and still nothing. Prior to the update the phone was charging great using my Samsung charging blocks. After the update it no longer recognizes the charging blocks. However my buds pro 3, bose open ear and galaxy watch ultra, all recognize the Samsung superfast charging blocks. Does this One UI 7.0 version has issues? Is anyone else getting this problem?

Same. Zero problems the week or even day before the update. I would be at 7%, plug it in and be fully charged in 20 minutes. Now it's taking more than double the time. These updates are complete bs. Everyone is saying do this, try that. Why?! Why is the burden on the consumer? Not everyone is tech savvy. I just want my 1 year old phone to work properly without any hassles. Frickin Samsung! Grrr.

I share the same sentiments. I contacted Samsung and they sent me to one of their repair outlets even though I told them nothing is wrong with the device's hardware. I still went, and the tech decided that the charging port was not good. He changed the charging port even though I told him its a software issue. And guess what. He charged the port an I'm still stuck with the same issue. Now they are recommending to flash the device to see if that helps. Samsung seems to not care about their customers especially since the fault is on their end. I've reach a point where I may just switch to Iphone.

It's not just you. I'm experiencing a similar issue. However, my phone can charge but it's painfully slow. Like it's capped almost. I've tried everything, turned off battery protection yet it's charging ridiculously slow. What's even more disappointing is that it says a Super Fast Charger has been connected, and the adapter is a Samsung brand too. Before the update, my S23 would take around an hour to get to 80%. (I used to have battery protection on insanely often before the update, still had no issues) But upon updating, it's no longer fast anymore. Like I bought an off-branded cheap charger that barely works.

(A little note whilst writing this: My battery is actually going up surprisingly. Someone mentioned about changing the side of the charger before plugging your phone in. Weirdly enough, it's working. Hoping a fix will be released!)

(A second update: I think it just needed some time to adjust in a way. Because now it's suddenly working like normal.)

One UI 6 has its downsides. However, I hate that One UI 7 has even more. The UI is terrible, which I can handle, but the battery issues are the ones I can't handle. It initially drained my battery right after the update; now I can't even charge it quickly. What's next? No customization? (The new home is terrible too, bring back my alphabetical order sideways)

I had the same issues as yours, by the way. I tried everything. Now I need to take 2 hours to get even close to 85%, it's terrible.

I want this message of state of charging not buried inside the.settings page; really does Samsung want us to go to that lower level so see if the charging cable; charger and device are all doing super fast, fast or normal charge on the locked home screen. Please put it back via a software update asap

The issue remains unresolved despite being reported and experienced by many users. This is a critical bug that I can no longer tolerate. I've owned four Samsung devices, but this ongoing lack of response is unacceptable. This will be my last Samsung device.

Exactly the same issue on my S22. Everything was fine until this update. This is obviously not a problem to fix in settings but a bug with the update.

Sure would be swell if Samsung got on the phone with the One UI folks and said fix it or we're going with another service.

Doesn't make sense to drag feet when everyone is being impacted and your brand is losing cred.

After 2 months later still no fix how my s24 Ultra needs 2.5 hours to get full charge. I have never seen such a software bug in my entire life what you guys do?
