One UI 7.0: Bluetooth icon in status bar gone

Since One UI 7.0 the Bluetooth icon in the status bar is gone. Before that an active Bluetooth connection was directly visible which is extremely helpful if you have to switch your headset between smartphone and computer. Now you have to swipe down to open the notification area. This is an unnecessary functional deterioration.

Please bring back the formerly perfect behavior of the status bar.

[EDIT:] … and if there have even more icons disappeared: please allow all icons to appear in the status bar with QuickStar (Good Lock) to be shown and prioritized. QuickStar does not distinguish between "Bluetooth" and "Bluetooth with active connection". Adding this would be the best solution.

Are you talking about the Bluetooth icon in quick panel? You can change this to how it use to be. Pull down the quick panel press the pencil icon then tap panel settings. Change this to show together. Or you can use Good Locks Quickstar module to customize your status bar and quick panel.

thanks for Your quick response. 🙂 No, I'm not talking about the Bluetooth button within the Quick Panel, it's the Bluetooth icon in the status bar. Since One UI 7.0 the Quickstar settings only apply to the icon's visibility with expanded notification area (i. e. when you swipe down from the status bar).

Before One UI 7.0 the Bluetooth icon with two tiny triangles was shown when a device was actively Bluetooth connected. When no connection was active the icon was only shown when the notification area was expanded (then without the triangles).

Please return the Bluetooth icon to the status bar. Removing it was a poor decision with little benefit and a large cost in user experience.

As a workaround I use Tasker to display a 1mm blue dot in the status bar whenever BT is on.

I agree, Samsung please bring it back, or let me choose which icons show in the status bar. I look for that icon all the time to make sure my headset is connected before playing audio.

Please restore the Bluetooth icon in the status bar shown when connected.
This is one of the primary features I rely on daily.
Use case: I listen to audio with wireless earbuds during the night. While the audio will finish sometime after I fall asleep, sometimes the earbuds disconnect (for various reasons including accidental touch). On waking during the night I can see at a glance whether the headphones are still connected - critical before pressing play and risking loud audio playing through the phone speaker by mistake and startling my wife! I now have to interact with the phone to confirm connectivity.
Also in my workplace I can very quickly see at a glance before placing a call to avoid disturbance in the office space, now more inconvenient to determine. This is a disappointing removal of an incredibly useful feature of my phone.

Just to check if earbuds are really connected befor risking  playing loud music  is way too many steps away , will be so annoying on a daily base ,  please bring it back.!! 😞
