Hey everyone,
I just noticed a weird and annoying issue on my Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928U) running the latest Android 15 / One UI (fully updated as of April 2025).
When I go to:
Settings > Apps > [Any app] > Notifications > Notification categories > [Any category],
and I turn off the “Sound” or “Vibrate” toggle, the entire option disappears permanently from the UI — there’s no way to turn it back on again from the same menu. (this happens will all apps on the phone)
What’s strange is that I have a Galaxy S24+ running the exact same update, and this doesn’t happen there. On the S24+, the toggles stay visible and I can re-enable them anytime. But on the Ultra, once you disable them, they vanish.
Already tried clearing cache/data and restarting. Still the same.
Anyone else facing this? Is this a known bug on the Ultra or a One UI issue?

I own a Samsung A53 smartphone and have the exact same issue. So frustrating.
I did what another poster advised and uninstalled and reinstalled one of the apps in question and it fixed it. But I was unable to uninstall another app as it's a system app I think? problem is I'm using "Messages" for my texting and it wouldn't let me..so now I am stuck never getting Audible notifications from Messages app. 😜
This is a crazy issue. I can't believe this slipped through the cracks? There absolutely should be a way to reverse it ... but somehow it's permanent. This is a bug for sure. I would love it if somebody had a solution other than uninstalling and reinstalling the app! Especially when the app is a system app and cannot be uninstalled?
