Not getting security update in Nigeria on my s24 ultra

I'm in Nigeria and I have been stucked with security updates from January 2024 on my s24 ultra. I bought it brand new but seems to have been imported from America is that a reason why I won't be  getting security updates?

May I ask what makes you think the phone has been imported from the States 🤔 @Nigeria 2 

That said even an imported phone should receive security updates and software update,  albeit it could be at a different timescale to your own region, as your reliant on the region the phone was released in sending out the updates. 

You could try Samsung SmartSwitch.

Still stucked with January security update . Which month update is on ur phone? Are using s24 ULTRA?

@Nigeria 2: If your phone was intended for use in the United States, then this can create compatibility issues with software and security updates due to software variances that exist in our devices from country to country. If you are unable to complete a security update over the air via Settings > Security and privacy > Updates > Security update, and if you have access to a home computer, then you may wish to try Smart Switch to see if you can complete the update in this manner. 

To begin with, please download the relevant version by following the link below and clicking on 'How do I get Smart Switch on my PC or Mac?':

Once installed, open Smart Switch, connect your phone using your USB cable and look for an update prompt on the Home screen, next to your device details.

I have the same problem with my S24, unable to receive an OTA update and Smart Switch also says Software is up to date.

My aunt also bought her S22 Ultra in the US, but she's using it in Nigeria. She hasn't received an OTA update since Jan 2023. Which means she's still on One UI 5
