I am looking for advice on the above subject. I have a Galaxy FE24 and the charging problem is getting erratic.
It started randomly, came up with moisture detected error and unable to charge. I checked and cleaned charging port and waited a whole day and tried again. After that, the message pops more frequently over time even when its not near liquid of any sort. It may charge sometimes and pops with the same error at subsequent charging.
I have cleaned the charging port and cleared USB cache a few times and still get the intermittent error message.
I have been told to reset phone but I am reluctant to do that as I may lose valuable info, passwords and others.
What's the best solution. Please advise if you can help

Zora 33! How did you solve the issue? Did you send it over repair/replacement? I am still getting the error message, may have to send it in repairs.

Mine went in for repair yesterday. Got a message they are awaiting parts(whatever that means). Fingers crossed, hopefully it's fixed. Thanks for your advise and input.

Several of my friends and I are suddenly experiencing the same “Moisture detected in charging port” error on different Samsung models (S24, S24 Ultra, S23, and an A-series), even though none of the devices were exposed to water. Wired charging is fully blocked—even when the phone is powered OFF—while wireless charging still works. Because multiple unrelated models developed the issue at the same time, this strongly suggests a widespread software or firmware problem rather than hardware failure.

Troubleshooting steps already completed:

  1. Checked the cable and charger

  2. Tried multiple different chargers and cables

  3. Dried and cleaned the USB-C port carefully

  4. Rebooted the phone

  5. Updated to the latest software version

  6. Tested in Safe Mode

  7. Cleared the USB system cache

  8. Wiped the cache partition in recovery + Repair Apps

  9. Ran the USB diagnostics test (issue persists even when OFF)
