Didn't bother to check / measure but I suspect light profile is slightly better for battery life

It's not a massively noticeable difference however it can be a good tool if saving a bit of battery is important.
Personally I stay on standard.

Or in other words, the phone isn't running at a 100% all the time just because it can anyway so limiting the maximum output to 70% won't have an effect unless u're running heavy applications/games in which case u might see suboptimal performance in those.
