Dear community

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the Samsung S24 Ultra phone I purchased on August 26, 2024, from your Stratford Westfield store. Since shortly after the purchase, I have been facing persistent battery performance issues. The phone lasts only 6 hours and 30 minutes on a full charge, which is far below the expected battery life for a brand-new device.

Three days after purchasing the phone, I visited the store to raise my concern, but I was informed that since the device was bought in-store, I couldn’t receive a refund or replacement. Additionally, I was advised to use the phone for more than a month before any further action could be taken. I followed this guidance and scheduled an appointment yesterday (October 1, 2024) to have the phone inspected. However, after the inspection on October 2, 2024, I was told that no issues were found with the battery, though I am still experiencing rapid battery drain that impacts the overall functionality of the phone.

Moreover, I am deeply concerned about the poor service I encountered. During my visit, two staff members, Rokas and Maya, were dismissive and unprofessional, which added to my frustration. I now have concerns about whether I may have been sold a substandard or possibly counterfeit device, given the unresolved battery issue.

I kindly request a replacement or a refund for my Samsung S24 Ultra, as the device is clearly not performing to standard, and the service provided has been unsatisfactory.

Please advise on how this issue can be resolved at your earliest convenience. I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,
MD Tarek Mollah

Hi.

Just a disclaimer. That we are just customers like yourself.

If you want to try, below is what I do personally for all my new phones and never had any issues.

Backup phone to an Online Service like Googel One ( buy the online storage if you have to 100gb is cheap)

1. Reset your phone.
2. Recover everything from Google backup except apps and settings.
3. Setup phone as new ( your contacts ,photos etc should have been recovered the minute you sign in to your Google account )
4. Install apps ( yes even banking apps) as and when you need them.

Enjoy your phone.

Now. This is not for everyone.
I have been doing this for ages and it has served me well.

Over the years I have found people with the most issues have had done a smartswitch transfer and for whatever reasons ( app incompatibility issues or settings issues) Have been the cause of frustration and poor experience.

You should be able to the above with smartswitch as well as long as you don't recover apps and settings.

Happy days.

Ps:. I believe whatsapp is backed up to Google one now as well so back it up from the app.

Hello and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋

As this is an open user to user forum i would suggest to edit your post to remove your personal details. { Flagged }

@GoanGeek has provided very good troubleshooting steps however as your still not happy then as we can't help here in regards to your request for a replacement or refund then I would invite you to contact Samsung / merchant who supplied the phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
