How do I turn off the automated space after punctuation? It is really annoying!

Thanks! I saw that, but it's not what is says. It works, but now I don't get the space after using autocorrect, which is a pain in the *****! Not sure which is worse.

Why do they have to mess around with things that used to work perfectly?
